TRAVEL AUTHORISATION -
For all travelers who do not hold an EU Citizenship, you will likely need to register for an EES or ETIAS Travel Authorisation to travel to countries in the EU, which of course includes Italy. There is a little bit of a grey area here as this is a new pending requirement for travelers to the EU. It is currently not in effect but is supposed to be in early 2025. We're assuming that it will be in effect come October. You can read up on how to apply on the EU Travel site.
Our venue has provided their summary of things to know as well.
Suggested Transpo -
For easiest travel, we suggest flying into Florence (Amerigo Vespucci Airport) and taking a combination of busses and train to get to La Dogana.
In a nutshell, it looks like this -
When flying into Florence, take the shuttle from the airport to the nearby main train station - Santa Maria Novella (this shuttle leaves every 20 minutes, ~15 min ride)
From the station take a train to Terontola Cortona Station (Train IC 584 / Roma Termini, ~1 hr ride)
And finally, catch a bus from the station that will take you to your final stop called Via Firenze 16 (Bus E017 / Terontola 2, ~15 min ride)
Exiting at the Via Firenze 16 stop will drop you right in front of the venue. The entrance will be on the west side of the road.
